Ice Mint Tea

This Ice Mint tea is made by infusing mint leaves along tea leaves, cinnamon and ginger in hot water and then chilling it and adding ice made of tea.

Ingredients:

Serves 4

  • 4 tea bags
  • 6 cups of water
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • 1 inch of fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 5 springs of mint
  • sugar, honey to taste (optional)

How to make Ice Mint Tea:

  1. Boil 2 cups of water with ginger and cinnamon.
  2. Add tea bags or tea leaves brew for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add fresh mint. Let it steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Add remaining water. Put aside to cool.
  5. Add lemon juice. Strain.
  6. Pour 2 cups of tea into ice tray to make ice cubes. Put the ice tray to the freezer and rest of the tea put into the fridge. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled and ice cubes formed solid.
  7. When the ice cubes are solid, pour the mint tea into tall glasses. Add ice cubes.
  8. Decorate with spring of mint and slice of lemon. Sweeten with honey or sugar if/as desired. Enjoy!
